LEONARDO DA VINCI PARADE

Hotel Milano Castello is in a great position to reach the Science Museum in a few minutes.

To celebrate the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the Museum returns to its origins by evoking the two collections with which it opened to the public on February 15th 1953. The temporary exhibition Leonardo da Vinci Parade, curated and realized by the Museum, stages a rich selection of spectacular models made in the '50s interpreting the drawings of Leonardo and frescoes of 16th century Lombard painters, granted in deposit in 1952 by the Pinacoteca di Brera. Next to the machines are exhibited models of military and civil architecture in plaster and terracotta, restored in recent years and not visible for some time.

The exhibition is an unusual juxtaposition between art and science in a new path that crosses the different fields of interest and study of Leonardo, enhancing the historical collection of the Museum, the most important in the world.
